DSSSB Teacher Recruitment: The Directorate of Education (Delhi) has given dismissal notices to 72 teachers in the name of getting jobs. In fact, due to non-match of biometric and photo records from Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB), it was found that someone gave the exam during the selection process and now someone else is doing the job. On Friday, a notice has been issued by Director Himanshu Gupta to dismiss the teachers. Issuing under the Central Civil Services Rules-1965, it has been asked why you should not be dismissed on the basis of the record. Because your existing and biometric records taken during the selection process are not matching.
More than 200 were caught before the appointment
Before the appointment in the year 2019, the Directorate of Education had caught more than 200 fake teachers. Most of these cases were those who had cleared the DSSSB exam and someone else was sitting in this exam. Whereas the claimant for the appointment was someone else. This forgery came to the fore during document verification.

More than 20 nodal officers investigated
A meeting was held on 8 January 2021 between Directorate of Education and DSSSB for verification of newly appointed teachers. For investigation, more than 20 nodal officers have been posted, school wise, a list of newly appointed teachers has been prepared. Most of the teachers who have been given notice for dismissal, were appointed through the selection process for the year 2019 and 2020 conducted by DSSSB. The committee formed by the directorate to examine the teachers sought the records from the board. The CD of the record was made available by the board on April 6, in which the recorded biometric record and photo were matched. After that the committee found that the 72 teachers working in the job are not those who appeared in the selection process as per the records of DSSSB.
Will have to answer in a month
A notice has been issued to such teachers on behalf of the directorate and a reply has been sought within a month. If within one month from the date of issue of notice, the teachers concerned are unable to give evidence that the candidates who appeared in the examination were the same, they will be dismissed. The teachers who have been given the notice include TGT and PGT teachers. The directorate had written a letter asking for the biometric record of the teachers during the examination, which is now not matched with the existing Aadhaar and other records of the teachers. In case of non-match, notice is issued by the department. If the candidate is not able to give evidence, then legal action will also be taken from the recovery of the amount given to him as salary.
