Vacancy in KVS Schools: 10368 posts of teachers are vacant in 1248 schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. According to the report of 16 November 2021, there are so many vacancies in 25 regions of the organization including teachers, vice principal and principal. Whereas on July 1, 2021, out of the total sanctioned 46884 posts of TGT, PGT and PRT teachers, 9236 (19.69% or 20 percent) were vacant. At that time 37648 teachers were working. At the same time, 7470 posts (16.12 percent) were vacant against the total sanctioned 46328 posts of teachers till December 1, 2020.
It is clear that the number of vacant posts of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas is increasing continuously. However, during this period, the number of posts has increased due to the opening of some new Kendriya Vidyalayas and approval of new classes in some schools.
Maximum 1227 posts are vacant in Chennai, 1182 in Hyderabad
In the 25 regions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, maximum 1227 posts are vacant in Chennai region. There are 1182 vacancies in Hyderabad region, 927 in Bangalore, 888 in Kolkata, 781 in Bhubaneswar. 122 posts are vacant in Varanasi region while 84 posts are vacant in Agra region.
