REET Level-2 Exam: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has decided to cancel the REET Level-2 exam. In view of the ongoing protests by the opposition parties and candidates in the state, the REET Level-2 examination has been canceled. He announced that the REET level-2 exam will be conducted afresh.
Along with this, now 62 thousand posts of teachers will be recruited through REET. The first exam of REET level 2 will be on the basis of eligibility. On the other hand, the second examination will be of teacher recruitment. Responding to the questions being raised by the main opposition BJP, he said that he does not have the moral right to level allegations. As soon as the SOG got the information about the discrepancy in the REET paper, the investigation was started immediately. So far, many top officials have also been sacked.
About 25 lakh youth had participated in the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET). Chief Minister Gehlot said that earlier about 32 thousand teacher recruitment was announced. But now the total number of posts has been increased to 62 thousand.
When will be the reet exam?
Responding to the questions of the media, Chief Minister Gehlot said that the report of the committee will come by March 15, after which the date of REET level-2 examination will be decided.
The REET exam was held on 26 September 2021. For this, a total of 3,993 examination centers were set up in all the 33 districts of the state. 16.51 lakh candidates had enrolled for this examination conducted in two levels. About 25 lakh candidates had participated in the REET Level-1 and Level-2 and both the level examinations.
