A total of 4000 vacancies will be filled on the post of Community Health Officer (CHO) in various districts of Uttar Pradesh on contract basis by National Health Mission UP. In these, 1600 posts are reserved for UR category, 1080 posts for OBC, 400 posts for EWS, 840 posts for SC and 80 posts for ST. District wise vacancy details can be seen in the notification.
Educational Qualification
General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc from a recognized Institute. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute or university. In addition, candidates must be registered as Nurse and Midwifery from the UP Nurses and Midwife Council and must have a valid registration certificate at the time of submission of online application.
Age Range
Eligible candidates age should not be more than 35 years as on 04 February 2022. However, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per UP State Health NHM CHO Recruitment 2022 recruitment rules. Read the notification for more details carefully.

Know how much salary you will get
10,000/- per month, including boarding and lodging allowances, during the training. The maximum salary of Rs 35,500 per month (Rs 20,500 per month plus Rs 15,000 per month performance-based incentive) will be paid at the time of posting as CHO in the SC-HWC of the district subject to the guidelines issued by the Government of India. National Health Mission, UP will provide support for course fee and transportation cost (one time only) for exercises etc.
Selection Process
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Online Written Test (CBT). If shortlisted in computer based test, candidates will be called for document verification. Selected candidates will be posted as CHOs in HWCs at the level of sub-health centers to work in coordination with the primary health team.
