57% of the candidates appeared in the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2020 examination of the Staff Selection Commission. According to Rahul Sachan, Regional Director, Central Zone, 29801 candidates were registered for the examination conducted at 72 centers of Prayagraj in pen-paper mode in the shift from 11 to 12 o’clock.
Of these, 17086 (57.33 percent) candidates appeared. The examination was conducted peacefully at all the centers and no incident of any kind was reported from anywhere. Examinations were conducted in schools like Bishop Johnson, Shri Mahaprabhu, St. Peter’s Academy, DAV, Bharat Scouts and Guides Inter College, Jwala Devi Inter College, Rasulabad etc.
Recruitment will be done on 7035 posts in various departments:
Through CGL 2020, 7035 posts will be recruited in various departments of the central government. Of these, there are 2891 posts in unreserved category, SC 1046, ST 510, OBC 1858 and 730 posts in EWS category. Under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Inspector Central Excise has the highest number of 1216 and 878 posts of Inspector Preventive Officer, while the Central Board of Direct Taxes has 1085 posts of Tax Assistants, 661 posts of Accountants/Junior Accountants etc.
