JKPSC Recruitment: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday said that the advertisement of the withdrawn posts will be re-issued for recruitment in a transparent manner. The administration is facing criticism for the withdrawal of vacancies referred to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (PSC) and Service Selection Commission (SSB) before October 31, 2019.
An official spokesperson said that all the vacancies withdrawn by the recent decision of the Administrative Council would be again sent to the recruiting agencies so that the recruitment could be done at the earliest. “The new recruitment will be as per the new domicile, reservation and recruitment rules and equal opportunity will be provided to all,” the spokesperson said. An independent, fair and merit-based selection will be ensured soon.”
He also clarified that the withdrawal of posts referred to PSC and SSB before October 31, 2019, was for those where selection was not made and results were not declared. The spokesman said that changes have been made in the recruitment rules of various departments, while the qualification and experience required for many posts have been changed. It also pointed out that some posts were transferred to the Union Territory of Ladakh after October 31, 2019. The spokesman said that recruitment against the transferred posts in Ladakh could no longer be done, so it was necessary to withdraw these posts. He said that the recruitment for about 3,000 Class IV posts recently advertised would be completed soon.
