Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday directed the administration to start full-time schools from class I to VIII. Mr Pawar said that he is taking a decision after analyzing the situation in Corona. This decision was taken after the reduction in Corona. He was addressing reporters after a review meeting with the District Magistrate, Administrative Officer and Health Chief.
He said that schools and colleges in Pune have already opened before February 1, but schools from class I to VIII were opening only for four hours. Now schools will open all day. Deputy Chief Minister Pawar said that it has been decided to give relaxation in the restrictions imposed due to corona virus. Regarding the corona situation, he said that looking at the world level, there has been a big decrease in the cases of Kovid-19 for the last few days. Earlier there was an increase in the mortality rate from Kovid-19, but our doctors are doing their full research on this.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawar said that in countries like France and America, there has been a huge reduction in new patients of corona virus but in Germany there is no decline yet. On the status of corona virus infection in India, he said that a decrease of 30 percent has been seen for a few days as compared to the previous month. There has been almost 50 percent reduction in patients in Pune, so the government has decided to run full-time schools in Pune from class I to VIII.
