GATE 2022: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2022 exam will start from tomorrow. Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Kharagpur has already released the GATE admit card and made it clear that on the day of the exam All guidelines related to corona virus will be followed. The candidates who are appearing in this exam, read here before going to the exam center and what things to keep in mind inside the exam center.
GATE 2022 exam will be conducted on February 5, 6, 12 and 13. All the exams will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Amidst all this, students are advised to follow the COVID-19 safety protocols.
COVID positive students cannot sit for the exam
Candidates are informed that as per the guidelines given on the GATE admit card, COVID positive students are not allowed to appear in the examination. In addition, there are separate guidelines for asymptomatic patients as well.

1- GATE candidates are advised to reach the exam center at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. This will also be important to avoid any last minute problems.
2- GATE 2022 admit card must be carried to the examination hall as without this document candidates will not be allowed to write the paper. Admit card should be printed on A4 size sheet.
3- It is written in the admit card, if a student is corona positive then he will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
4- GATE candidates are not allowed to carry any tables, charts or electronic devices in the examination hall. During the exam, a virtual calculator will be provided to the candidates for necessary purposes.
Scribble pads will also be given to the candidates who will write the GATE 2022 exam. However, at the end of the exam, it has to be returned to the invigilator.
6- GATE 2022 is being conducted as per the schedule and the demand for postponement of the exam has not been accepted by the Supreme Court. All the candidates are advised to follow the COVID-19 safety protocol at all times.
