Center new schools reopen guidelines: Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education) has issued revised guidelines for the reopening of schools. As per the Revised Standard Operating Procedure issued by the Ministry, State Governments and Union Territories can decide whether the students are allowed to take physical classes. (offline classes) Whether parental or guardian consent is required to participate in. Many schools, colleges have resumed offline classes after the third wave. In which the consent of the parents will be given to allow the students to come to the offline classes in the educational institutions.
A new SOP has been issued by the Ministry of Education for the reopening of schools. The directive states to ensure smooth transition of students from home-based schooling to formal schooling by preparing and implementing school readiness modules or bridge courses in the classroom. States and Union Territories can decide at their own level whether their school requires the consent of the parents of the students or not.
Attention should be given to the skills of the students
The ministry has also asked schools to initiate remedial programs based on the learning level of the children and to improve the reading and numerical skills of the students. However, parental consent is likely to no longer be mandatory for offline classes following the Centre’s guidelines for reopening of schools following the biggest revision in schools.

Since the Center has asked the states and union territories to take their own decision, there is a possibility of doing away with the parental consent rule for many of them. However, more will be known only when the revised guidelines are issued.
