The Railway Recruitment Board has postponed the CBT 2 to be held from February 15 for the recruitment of 35,277 posts of NTPC category after protests by the candidates. The Railways has also constituted a committee after the candidates alleged discrepancies in the CBT 1 result.

There is tremendous competition among the candidates for the recruitment of 35,277 posts of NTPC category in Railways. Actually, a total of 35,277 posts are to be recruited through this recruitment, but about 1.25 crore candidates had applied to join it. Accordingly, if we look at the number of posts and the number of applicants, about 354 candidates are competing among themselves for a seat in this recruitment.
What is the complete selection process:
The successful candidates in the recruitment of 35,277 posts of NTPC category are to be selected after 4 stage tests. So the candidates who will be successful in the 1st stage exam will have to appear in the 3rd stage test now. Actually the candidates who are successful in CBT 1 of this recruitment will have to appear in CBT 2 and the candidates who will be successful in CBT 2 will have to appear in Typing Skill Test or Computer-Based Aptitude Test as per the requirement of the posts. The candidates who are successful in this stage will have to finally appear in the document verification and medical test.
