Aparna Yadav is married to Mulayam Singh Yadav’s second wife i.e. Prateek Yadav, son of Sadhna Gupta. Aparna and Prateek knew each other since their school days. He also contested the 2017 UP assembly elections from Lucknow Cantt. However, she lost to Rita Bahuguna Joshi by more than 35,000 votes.
