RRB Group D CBT: The issue of alleged irregularities in NTPC recruitment exam results in Indian Railways was raised in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Along with this, a demand was made in the Parliament to conduct only one examination for the recruitment of Group D employees in the Railways. Along with this, there was also a demand to withdraw the cases registered against the students in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Tributes were first paid to the Archbishop of South Africa and those killed in floods in Malaysia when the House began its proceedings this morning during the budget session, and then the necessary documents were laid on the Table of the House. Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu appealed to the members to follow the Corona protocol and sit at the designated places. He said that due to Corona, the proceedings of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha are being held in two different shifts. The Rajya Sabha meets in the first shift and the Lok Sabha in the second shift. Due to time constraints, some changes have been made in the proceedings of Rajya Sabha. Under which now the zero hour will be of half an hour.
During Zero Hour, Dr. Fauzia Khan of Nationalist Congress Party raised the issue of students agitated in Bihar for recruitment in Railways. Along with this, Sushil Kumar Modi of Bharatiya Janata Party said that 1.25 crore students had applied for NTPC exam. He said that there is no justification for taking two examinations for Group D recruitment. This is not a recruitment for IAS or IPS. For this only one test should be taken. Along with this, he said that seven lakh students have got their names in the examination results whereas most of the students have got their names twice. Therefore, the results of 3.5 lakh more students should be declared without waiting for the report of the committee constituted by the Railway Minister.
Alleging that there was rigging in this examination result, Sanjay Singh of Aam Aadmi Party said that it should be investigated. He said that in Prayagraj students were beaten up by entering their houses and during this time cases have been registered against 1000 students in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh which should be withdrawn immediately.
