Indira Gandhi National Open University: Indira Gandhi National Open University has started the Master of Arts (English) through online mode today. Interested candidates can register by visiting the official website ignuiop.samarth.edu.in. According to the information, this program will be of two years and will give learners a good understanding of English and American literature and other new areas of literature like Canadian, Australian and Indian English. Anyone with a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree from a recognized university is eligible to apply for this program.

To complete the MA programme, a learner can opt for course(s) from any of the modules along with two compulsory courses, to be opted for in the first year. However, if for any reason a student is unable to complete the MA programme, he/she can exit with a PG Diploma in English after completing the course worth 32 credits. A fee of Rs 13,600 will have to be paid for the entire program. Which is to be paid year wise. Along with the first year fee, a registration fee of Rs 200/- will have to be paid.
This program has been started for this purpose in an online mode. Applicants will now be able to pursue a master’s degree in the English language, as it will allow them to complete the course in their own time.
