There is good news for the students studying in Science stream in Delhi government schools. Students will be able to prepare for examinations related to technical education. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Directorate of Education and an organization regarding this. A circular has been issued by the Directorate in this regard. For this they will be given a special class.
According to the circular, around 29000 students of science stream are enrolled in class 11th and 12th in government schools in Delhi. The program will help students prepare for focused exams to help them gain admission to undergraduate programs and diploma courses in technical education. This will open career paths. The Directorate will involve the Program Management Unit (PMU) for the design and implementation of technical education programmes. School heads of Delhi where Science stream is taught are instructed to identify the selected student of class 11th and 12th for the academic session 2022-23. Classes should be organized in schools at the end of the class and at the end of the week for the preparation of competitive exams. Classes will be held 5-6 days a week. Doubt resolution session in small group of 15-20 students along with progress assessment will also be done.

It also aims to increase the number of students qualifying for specialized engineering and medical colleges (preparing for JEE/NEET), educating students on options beyond engineering, MBBS and BDS. Efforts will also be made to increase the number of students qualifying these programs through competitive examination.
